The O'Reilly Bioinformatics Technology Conference will feature a formal poster session that encourages presenters and attendees to learn about each others' work. Posters need to describe original work in biology or bioinformatics. Posters will be judged by our poster subcommittee for best in show.
Date: Tuesday, February 4, 2003
Time: 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Location: Balboa Room (third floor)
The deadline for submitting a poster proposal was December 11, 2002. Notifications of acceptance will commence on December 16, 2002.
The rules are simple:
- At least one of the poster authors must be a speaker or a registered attendee of the conference.
- The poster itself may be no larger than 4' by 4'. Prepare to exhibit the poster for both pushpin and Velcro.
- During the poster exhibition evening (Tuesday, February 4, 2003), the presenter must be in the poster exhibition room and available to discuss the work with conference attendees.
The poster exhibition room (Balboa Room) opens at 12:00 noon on Tuesday to allow presenters time to hang their posters. Poster presenters must be present in the poster exhibition room at 6:00 pm for the formal poster session. There is no audio/visual support for the poster session.
The poster exhibition room will remain open from 7:00 am - 4:00 pm on Wednesday, the following day, to allow for casual viewing by conference attendees.
All posters must be removed from the room before 6:00 pm on Wednesday evening. O'Reilly & Associates is not responsible for lost or damaged posters and makes no claim to keep them secure.
