Conway's talk previews the new features of Perl 6, including strong typing, multiple dispatch, hyperoperators, superpositions, higher-order functions, multidimensional data structures, nested classes, and a powerful new grammar-based regex mechanism. He explains how simple changes to Perl's existing syntax and semantics makes everyday Perl programming safer and easier, as well as explore some of the powerful programming techniques (declarative programming, backtracking, multimorphism, delegation, parallel programming, etc.) that Perl 6 makes possible.
