Update on the I3C Technical Committee Jill Kaufman, IBM Life Sciences

The I3C has quarterly technical meetings in North America and Europe. Kaufman and Miller's session overviews the scope of the current work groups and new work areas in progress. Current working groups include Technical Architecture, which is working on LSID, and a sandbox Registry project, which will be described. New work areas include Genomics/Expression/Proteomics, Pathways/Systems Biology and Pharmacogenomics, which define use cases with technical interoperability requirements. Other new work areas under discussion include Security, Images, LIMS and Publications.
