Visualization Considerations for Real Time Viewing
Michael A. Schulman, Sun Microsystems, Inc.

Track: Toolkits
Date: Thursday, February 06
Time: 2:15pm - 3:00pm
Location: California Ballroom C

When viewing 3D data in real time, there are a number of issues that users and developers must consider. Visualization of 3D data for bioinformatics requires a decision of which application programming interface (API) to use, depending on the level of knowledge of the programmer. In addition, new computer graphics hardware devices allow users to accurately display 3D data, without the traditional limitations of poor screen resolution and jagged edges.
