BioneQ - The Quebec Bioinformatics Network

BioneQ, the Quebec Bioinformatics Network, is an organisation devoted to continous education in bioinformatics for life science professionals supported by Genome-Quebec. We are creating a serie of seminars and workshops on various topics in applied bioinformatics as well as creating online material on our web site (www.bioneq.qc.ca).
In addition, BioneQ is putting together a bioinformatics support service via a bulletin board devoted to bioinformatics, a database of bioinformatics online resources as well as a knowledgebase in bioinformatics.
Finally, BioneQ is building a web-based workbench supported by a beowulf-based cluster called Goldorak. A BLAST server is being created (in association with Ecole Polytechnique de Montreal) running a variant of BeoBLAST.
