Federated Identity on the Web
Peter Yared, Founder and CEO, ActiveGrid
Track: Distributed
Date: Thursday, May 16
Time: 4:45pm - 5:30pm
Location: Stevens Creek
Who do they think I am? -- the pros and cons of a single user identity. Establishing and obtaining user identity online has started to generate a lot of interest. As a consequence of being able to establish a single user identity and using a single sign on to diverse applications, is there any compromise to privacy?
This session is an introduction to the Liberty project and a discussion of issues around implementing federated identity across disparate domains. Attend this session to explore the technical challenges of establishing user identity and the corresponding social consequences.
