Don Box, XML Messaging Architect, Microsoft Corporation
Track: Emerging Technology Tutorial
Date: Monday, May 13
Time: 1:15pm - 4:45pm
The world of XML and web services can be viewed from two angles. One angle focuses on the underlying data model, which is based on XML Schemas which is covered in Part 1: The Data Model. The other angle focuses on the processing model, which is based on an amalgam of technologies, including SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, and XML Query. This tutorial focuses on the XML and SOAP, WSDL, XSLT, and XML Query. Though Part 1: The Data Model is not required for participation, this tutorial assumes that you have a firm grasp of XML Infoset and XML Schemas.
