Web Geoblogging

Track: Birds of a Feather
Date: Thursday, April 24
Time: 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Location: Stevens Creek

While the idea of 'hanging post-it notes in space' or spatially tagging the world has been around since the Buckminister Fuller and Worldboard days - only recently with the emergence of RSS and XML standards has this become feasible and practible.

Now we are beginning to see rss feeds with spatially tagged collections of everything from favorite hiking trails to geotagged photo-albums to the physical location of the actual website itself.

We'll get together and individuals can present what they have - send email to me (anselm@hook.org) to help schedule your presentation in. If we don't have any formal presentations then we may adjourn to a nearby pub and simply chat.
