What kind of phone do you have? What operating system is it running?
Cellular carriers have been pushing cameraphones out to the public at an every-increasing rate. But a lot of folks don't know what they can do with their new pocket-sized computers. Maybe you snapped a few pictures, sent a couple of text messages, and checked the weather once or twice. There's more there than you know: a cameraphone is a powerful computer with a built-in sensor and even some ability to figure out where it is at any given moment. In this session, you'll learn about:
- Capturing video, audio, and still photos
- Reaching out to surrounding devices with Bluetooth
- Blogging video, audio, and photos
- Sending text and multimedia messages
- Making the most of T9 (text on 9 keys) input
- Using the web, FTP, SSH, IRC, and instant messenger
- Being in two places at once when you're not anywhere at all
