People-to-People: From Close Friends to Strangers
Lili Cheng, Microsoft Research

Date: Wednesday, February 11
Time: 5:15pm - 6:00pm
Location: California Ballroom C

Software doesn't do a good job of representing me, and the people I care
about. Strangers and close friends look and feel the same in most
communication tools, and it's tedious to organize and share thoughts.
We need to redesign communication tools to model the way people think
about other people, and manage social networks. I'll show prototypes
developed at Microsoft Research by the Social Computing Group, such as
Wallop and the Personal Map, and talk about our plans going forward.
