Gershenfeld presents emerging insights into the digitization of fabrication, based on building with logic (error-corrected molecular assembly) and programming with math (compiling mathematical programs into distributed physical dynamics). He discusses the application of these ideas in personal fabrication, and explores some of their unexpected implications in developed and developing countries.
