In a follow-up/continuation to the previous years' Creating Passionate Users tutorials, this session looks more deeply at how to create passionate users for a product, service, project, or cause. We'll apply lessons from cognitive science, game development, neurobiology, community-building, and filmmaking to design, build, and support addictive user experiences. We'll cover the art of cognitive seduction, learn how to keep users engaged and motivated, and look at ways to help users get past the critical "Suck Zone" and move up the learning curve to the more advanced levels that lead to greater expertise and passion.
Whether you're looking to increase participation on your web site, build a passionate community around your product, help students learn more effectively, or recruit evangelists for your cause, we'll work step-by-step on a plan for getting there.
Bring at least one idea you want to work on, and be prepared to brainstorm with (and be helped by) other participants.
