| Shawn Van Every ITP Shawn is an adjunct professor and media researcher at NYU's Interactive Telecommunications Program (ITP) where he specializes in the development of tools that enable participatory media. At ITP he teaches courses that deal with participatory media and computational media (programming). Recently he co-organized the Open Media Developers Summit for the purpose of bringing together individuals working on technology that enables a truly open media. Shawn is an active blogger and video blogger and can often be found contemplating a future where the ability to create media is in the hands of everyone. He develops on a variety of platforms, from mobile phones and set top boxes to large scale media servers. He holds a Master's degree from NYU's ITP and a BA in Media Study from SUNY Buffalo. |
