Rick Ringel

Rick Ringel serves as a distinguished engineer within Inter-Tel's Technology & Product Management group. He is the lead architect of the SIP application server product family, as well as a contributor to the evolution of other Inter-Tel products.

Ringel earned a B.S. in Computer Science from Washington State University in 1984. During his career, he has contributed to the development and deployment of products coving a wide range of communication technologies, including central office switches, PBX switches, digital cellular network components, packet switches, satellite communications equipment, application servers, and most recently, IP-PBX and IM systems. As an entrepreneur, he founded Freedom Software, Inc., which developed an SS7 gateway product. He later joined up with MasterMind Technologies, Inc., where he served as CTO until Inter-Tel acquired the company.
