The phenomenal growth of social networking sites has proved people's desire to stay connected and bonded with each other, whether with people they know or don't know. In this always-on world, the
coupling of VoIP, social network services, and privacy is a key direction for VoIP application providers. This talk discusses the new network features to provide social telephony and how prosumers can enjoy new services leveraging technology capabilities including IMS and Web 2.0 platforms.
