Communications systems envelop us; they are part of the fabric of society, a part of our everyday lives. They are also highly commercial enterprises.
Students and researchers at Central St. Martin's often think about phones, how to make them (and some of your other "gadgets") safe and how they can help you be safer.
We will be discussing services and product design. Using the application of social models to both the design process and the product, we will give examples on how to think about security, safety, and crime in the context of your new communications system and how to apply these ideas into your design process.
