Sam Hiser will describe how the OpenDocument Format can free up business processes in the organization and expand on what ODF could mean as a critical mass phenomenon.

Getting there is the hard part. To do so, organizations will recognize that the desktop, the office suite, and the document file format are just the starting point of a revolution in thinking about the control-points across ICT architectures.

Hiser will discuss the ingredients for an open, Collaborative Global Computing, and show how organizations will get there, on and beyond the desktop. He will discuss events this year in Massachusetts and Europe, as well as developments around the ODF Plugin for MS Office on Windows.
