BOFOpenOffice.org: What's NewTrack: BOF Date: Tuesday, 19 September 2006 Time: 19:30 - 20:30 Location: Salon Marie-Henriette Moderated by Louis Suarez-Potts, OpenOffice.org What can you expect in OpenOffice.org? What will the future bring? And how can you be part of it? This BOF will bring together developers from Sun, OpenOffice.org's primary contributor, and other stakeholders to discuss what one can do with the code today, where it is going tomorrow, and how one can contribute. We will also go over the place of the file format (ODF) in OpenOffice.org's trajectory and ways in which users, including corporations and governments, can best take advantage of the free office suite's potential. Questions about the code, about coding and about the project will be gladly answered. Come prepared to learn how to create extensions, sophisticated macros, and how to migrate a business, a company, a government to OpenOffice.org. Or come just to have fun! |
