Apollo is a competitive strategy, marketing, field engagement, and communication group within SAP with the sole mission of increasing SAP's competitive effectiveness against Oracle. Jeff's team is responsible for a broad range of strategy development and execution in the areas of database bundling, social media, government relations, and new business/market development. Prior to his Apollo role, Jeff was with SAP Ventures from it's founding over 8 years ago and in that role led a broad portfolio of new venture capital investments for SAP as well as greatly increasing SAP's exposure in the broader venture capital community. Jeff continues to serve as an advisor to SAP Ventures and to represent SAP on the Board of Directors at Socialtext. Before joining SAP, Jeff was with several mid-market ERP software companies and led initiatives to integrate internet technologies in enterprise software, and also founded an early ISP startup as well. Jeff is a frequent speaker on a broad range of topics, such as how the technology industry is evolving to the emergence of decentralized and non-traditional media as a force in business. Jeff is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and is proud to serve as Chairman of the Board of Directors for Students Rising Above, as well as serve as a board member for KIPP Bayview Academy in San Francisco. Jeff is an alumni of Regis University in Denver.
