Dori Smith, Author & Publisher
Track: Servers and Networking
Date: Wednesday, October 02
Time: 5:45pm - 6:30pm
Location: Winchester
Now that you have Mac OS X, you're running Apache, a powerful web serving machine. Dori Smith teaches you about tools that are available for free in addition to the ones you already have at your disposal. Learn what's available, as well as what to use, and when. This session assumes some knowledge of web technologies, but will bring you up-to-date with the latest tools and techniques. In addition, you'll learn about client-side vs. server-side technologies, scripting with Perl and PHP, creating browser-based UIs with JavaScript and DHTML, Java Servlets and Java Server Pages with Tomcat, and a bit of XHTML, XML, XSL, and XSLT.
