Quartz is a powerful 2D vector-based graphics library at the heart of the Mac OS X GUI. In this tutorial, Brook Conner introduces the core concepts of vector-based graphics and shows how they are used in Quartz. Conner also explains the overall organization of the API, and demonstrates how Quartz can be used inside both Cocoa and Carbon applications.
Simple, complete, and useful examples will be provided so that programmers can leave the tutorial ready to begin using the powers of Quartz.
