No matter how powerful your application is, Mac reviewers will give it a "thumbs down" if it doesn't have a very high level of usability. The key to usability for Mac applications is consistency with existing Mac applications.
Brook Conner explains the high-level principles of application organization so that new or ported applications can be designed from the start to meet the high expectations of experienced Mac users. Suitable for everyone, from marketing staff to polished designers to hard-core code wizards, Conner shows how easy it can be to build a Mac-like user interface. By using Interface Builder, not only will it be simple to follow the conventions, but non-programmers will be able to easily build the user interface as well.
