Using OpenOffice.org and NeoOffice as samples, come examine how large X11 based applications are migrated to fully native MacOS X applications. Learn about the relative pros and cons of myriad possible native implementation approaches, including wxWindows, Java/Swing, the current state of GTK, OpenOffice.org VCL, and reimplementation from scratch in Carbon or Cocoa. Find out which was chosen for the 8 milion line + OpenOffice.org project and what are our most recent pitfalls in migrating to OS X.
