However, keeping a computer in good shape without having to rely on third-party services or an already busy IT department is the best way for a user to "take control" of it, be creative and, most of all, efficient. There is of course no need to draw complex plans or purchase expansive services -- simply keep the few points we are going to go through in mind and try to understand what each of them does.
