TrackBackTrackBack

LDraw is a 3D virtual Lego modeling system that consists of applications and most importantly, a library of premade Lego parts. LDraw system applications can be used to easily create Lego models that exist as text files. Those files can be rendered in "step" in order to publish instructions how to build the model, or the models can be ray traced, and they can even be imported into professional (expensive) 3d modeling and animation applications.

Unfortunately, there are only a few LDraw applications for the Mac.

Come hear the history of LDraw and virtual LEGO modeling from someone who has been using LDraw since its beginnings in 1995. Discuss the current Mac OS LDraw applications, the Lego and LDraw community in general, and the future of LDraw and LEGO virtual modeling.
