Runtime Revolution is a true cross-platform development tool that has native roots in the Macintosh world and that permits the creation of standalone applications that will run on Macintosh Classic, OS X, Windows, and many flavors of *nix including Linux. Inspired by and loosely based on HyperCard, Revolution features an English-like scripting language with amazing power and depth.

In this fast-paced session, long-time HyperCard guru and Revolution expert and book author Dan Shafer will demonstrate the power and simplicity of this tool three ways. First, he'll create a non-trivial application in under 10 minutes, including compiling it and creating a professional installer for it. Next, he'll demonstrate several commercial applications written in Revolution to give you some idea of how much can be done with the product. Finally, he'll highlight a half dozen unique characteristics of the Revolution development environment to give you an idea where this tool might be an excellent choice for your projects.
