This session will introduce you to the tools and techniques for building Darwin directly from the source. System administrators and developers interested in customizing their Mac OS X systems will learn how to successfully modify the kernel and other open source portions of Mac OS X. This session will outline how to get the Darwin sources, how to configure your system for building them, which components can and cannot be replaced on a Mac OS X system, and common troubleshooting scenarios.
