Advanced InnoDB Performance Tuning
Peter Zaitsev
Tobias Asplund

Track: Performance Tuning and Benchmarks
Date: Wednesday, April 20
Time: 4:50pm - 5:35pm
Location: Ballroom F

TrackBackTrackBack

Zaitsev takes a very practical approach to optimization of MySQL Innodb storage engine.

We'll get DBT2 benchmark and will strive to get the most out of MySQL, trying various optimization methods. We'll go beyond schema and server settings optimizations, diving into MySQL source code, doing low level profiling of MySQL and kernel. For each attempt, we'll measure the perfomance change we got in numeric form to be able to tell how exactly we're able to affect performance. We've also updated our performance some of our last year tests to check how MySQL and Linux have improved over time.
