This presentation is focused on the use of MySQL in very high data rate environments. The application uses MyQL as an embedded "warehouse". MySQL's bulk insert capability is utilized to achieve high rates of continuous data insertion. The system uses multiple target tables under a MERGE to obtain high insert rates. The MERGE facility is used to provide a consistent SQL interface to the collected data.
