The application uses MyQL as an embedded "warehouse". MySQL's bulk insert capability is utilized to achieve high rates of continuous data insertion. The system uses multiple target tables under a MERGE to obtain high insert rates. The MERGE facility is used to provide a consistent SQL interface to the collected data.
