SessionMySQL Migration Toolkit
Michael G. Zinner, GUI Developer, MySQL AB
The MySQL Migration Toolkit is built around a powerful and flexible architecture, which allows it to not only be used for point-and-click migrations from graphical tools, but also allows for extension and scripting for special needs. The Toolkit can be extended by writing modules in a variety of languages, such as C/C++, Java, PHP, Python, and Lua. It can also be scripted to drive migrations using these modules, in Lua and Python.
This session will give a general overview of the Migration Toolkit internals and show how it can be scripted by developers and advanced users, enabling them to perform tasks as migrations with custom modifications to the schema or data, automated migrations etc. |
