"OpenOLAP for MYSQL" is the open source OLAP(On-Line Analytical Processing) tool for MySQL. Ryusuke Kajiyama will be leading a demonstration of OpenOLAP for MySQL and speaking problems to be solved such as perfomance tuning or i18n of GUI and documents. Original OpenOLAP has worked only with PostgreSQL and we are migrating to work with MySQL5.0.x. OpenOLAP has both R-OLAP and M-OLAP functions. There are 3 parts in this product; "Model Designer" for building Cubes, "Report Designer" for creating reports and "Viewer" for analyzing data. Browser-based GUI is quite accomplished because professional web designers have made its GUI. This tool was originally made in the project which was sponsored by Information-technology Promotion Agency, Japan and was completed by Japanese consulting firm IAF Consulting, Inc..
