| Si Chen Open Source Strategies, Inc. Si Chen is the founder and principal of Open Source Strategies, Inc., a strategic and technology consulting firm specializing in open source enterprise software. In this capacity he has advised both end users and software vendors on the business and technical implications of open source software. He is one of the core developers of the Open For Business open source project and founder of the Sequoia Open Source ERP project. Prior to founding Open Source Strategies, Chen was a founder and CTO of Gracious Style, Inc., where he developed and implemented eCommerce and content management solutions with open source technologies. Prior to Gracious Style, Inc., Chen worked as a portfolio manager for MKP Capital Management and Fischer Francis Trees & Watts in New York, where he managed fixed income investment portfolios for central banks, hedge funds, and pension funds. Part of his responsibilities included directing the development of investment analysis software. Chen graduated summa cum laude from the Wharton School and the School of Engineering and Applied Sciences of the University of Pennsylvania. He has spoken at numerous conferences, appeared on Reuters TV, and been published in The Journal of Portfolio Management. |
