This session will provide an end-to-end overview of how to take advantage of MySQL 5.1's architecture and feature set for a broad range of advanced business intelligence applications. Using multiple demonstrations to illustrate concepts, topics covered will include a brief overview of the major BI application categories including static and interactive reporting, analysis, dashboards and performance management, data mining and predictive analytics, and data integration. In each case, the session will describe the business need and use-case, and then focus deeply on MySQL 5.1's capabilities to address those applications, including recommendations and techniques for maximum success.
