A hands-on MySQL Cluster 5.1 Tutorial where you'll install and setup MySQL Cluster on your laptop and learn about what it is, what it can do, and basic administration skills. Topics include:

• The basics: what is MySQL Cluster, what you can do with it, what it doesn't do.
• Some concepts: what node types there are, arbitration, split brain problem, and transaction durability.
• Running a cluster: starting the nodes, running queries, what happens during node failure and node recovery.
• Basic administration
• Taking and restoring backups
• Planning deploying of MySQL Cluster
• Coverage of features new to MySQL 5.1 such as replication and disk data
• The NDB API and how it can be used to write C++ applications that directly access the cluster
• Training, consulting, and certification related to MySQL Cluster
