Session

The Design and Internals of MySQL Cluster

Stewart Smith, Software Engineer, MySQL AB

Track: MySQL Cluster and High Availability
Date: Tuesday, April 24
Time: 3:35pm - 4:35pm
Location: Ballroom F

A look at the design and implementation of MySQL Cluster. This is a session on the internals of MySQL Cluster -- not a how-to-use-it session. We'll cover the design origins, reasoning behind parts of the design, current users, prospective users, and future users (and why some users need certain things). We'll cover the basic structure of the internals, communication between nodes, the API to kernel interface, and go over how some basic operations work (such as primary key lookups).
