MySQL has always been very fond of its contributors. But lately, it has given its external helpers a higher degree of attention. With the launch of the Quality Contribution Program, MySQL contributors have been getting recognition, publicity, and valuable awards. Not lottery prizes, mind you, but complimentary subscriptions to flagship MySQL Enterprise services. This fondness is the basis of an increasing cooperation between the company and the external enthusiasts, for the mutual benefit of better product quality and higher satisfaction.

In this round of talks, former contributor, now employee, Giuseppe Maxia, briefly introduces the Quality Contribution Program, and then the contributors themselves will tell their story.
