More and more organizations are implementing DRBD, Distributed Replicated Block Device, to meet their high availability needs. DRBD replicates blocks instead of rows of data, providing excellent performance and synchronous replication. With a proper DRBD implementation, administrators can reach levels of availability close to 99.99% (approx 52 minutes a year), suitable for most mission critical applications.
