Phillip Reisner

Phillip Reisner

Philipp Reisner is the original author of DRBD, and co-CEO and CTO of LINBIT Information Technologies headquartered in Vienna, Austria. Phil has been working on DRBD since 1998, and -- together with co-author Lars Ellenberg, and numerous open-source community contributors -- has coded at the bleeding edge of open source, commodity hardware, shared-nothing storage replication ever since. Phil is a respected expert in Linux kernel development, for his achievements in DRBD and in other areas of the kernel. He holds a Computer Science MSc from the Vienna University of Technology. When he isn't busy hacking DRBD, he climbs rocks and enjoys an occasional well-chilled pint.
