Gurusamy Sarathy has been heavily involved in maintaining the mainstream releases of Perl for the past seven years. He served as the core language Release Manager for the 5.005 and 5.6 releases of Perl. Sarathy holds Undergraduate and Graduate degrees in Architecture and a Masters degree in Computer Science from the University of Michigan.
