MySQL Version 4 has row-level locking as well as transactions. This session describes the differences between row-level and table-level locking and isolation levels in general. In addition, we discuss how transactions affect the programming model with MySQL, making it easier to build enterprise-class applications. You will gain a solid understanding of these new features, which will help you write more efficient Perl and PHP programs.
