Web Access with Perl's LWP modules

Sean M. Burke, Author

Track: Perl Conference 5
Date: Tuesday, July 24
Time: 1:45pm - 5:15pm
Location: Harbor Island I

Target audience:
The attendee should have minimally a beginning understanding of Perl, and hopefully a passable command of references. A familiarity with OOP is helpful but not necessary.

Goals:
The attendee should end up with a familiarity with the basic approaches to getting data from the Web (LWP::Simple or the request/response classes, and status codes) and the various approaches to scanning HTML.
