This talk intends to show some of the possibilities of using Perl to dynamically generate Flash animations and, furthermore, how the technology behind it can be extended to do some very, very cool things.
The scope of the talk will include :
- History of the SWF file format and some of its particular idiosyncrasies and optimizations.
- The ins and outs of parsing and generating SWF.
- Why in the name of all that is good you would want to use Perl to generate animations on the fly.
- Why stop there? Other cool stuff you can do with the technology behind this.
