Apple’s new operating system is a significant open source development, integrating the reliability of a multitasking operating system with the user experience for which Apple is so well-known. However, Apple has to persuade two groups to move to OS X: a development community as well as users. This talk will look at the problems that Apple is facing in making this move, as well as new opportunities that OS X is creating for its developers.
