Date: Thursday, July 26
Time: 2:15pm - 2:45pm

Sun has a long history of supporting open standards, but only recently has come around to participating in and creating Free & Open Source projects. Starting in 1998, Sun began to distribute source code under the “Sun Community Source License” to almost universal distain from the Free & Open Source communities. • Where is Sun really in the process of “getting” Free & Open Source?
  • What are seen as the viable the Open Source business cases at Sun?
  • What is the process and what are the common issues when selecting a license?
