Rick Tatem
Rick Tatem is a Systems Programmer in the Information Systems Division of SAS Institute, the world's largest privately held software company. Tatem has been a Perl devotee for nearly 10 years, using it on a wide variety of systems from high-end UNIX servers to a souped-up Atari 520ST. The evolution of the business-computing environment has moved Rick from the UNIX world to that of Windows NT. This has proven itself to be an opportunity for Rick to evangelize the use of Perl to those who, some may say, need it the most. Rick's team, MDR - Messaging and Directory Resources, oversee a Microsoft Exchange environment serving more than 10,000 employees on more than 50 servers across 14 sites around the world. Tatem holds a B.S in Mathematics from N.C. State University.
