phpGroupWare - Redefining Groupware Solutions
Dan Kuykendall, Clear River Technologies
Track: PHP
Date: Friday, July 26
Time: 2:30pm - 3:15pm
Location: Marina IV
The big commercial companies are doing most of the activity in the Groupware world. phpGroupWare is here to reverse that trend by offering better solutions. With both a web based interface and a web services interface to a powerful and customizable collection of groupware applications and services using an alphabet soup of popular standards, phpGroupWare will re-define groupware as we know it.
- Web Interface:
Since just about any user can get access to a web browser, phpGroupWare chose this the initial interface of choice.
- Web Services:
By using XML-RPC and SOAP, it is now possible to access your data and services from the phpGroupWare web services interface from any programming language and platform you prefer.
- Joint Efforts:
phpGroupWare is joined up with DotGNU, OpenOffice and Mozilla for both compatibility and code re-use. OpenOffice is working to use our web services interface as its groupware server, and the client will be built into future versions of OpenOffice.
