Kapil Thangavelu

Track: Python
Date: Wednesday, July 24
Time: 5:15pm - 6:00pm
Location: Marina IV

This talk discusses an implementation of a Python Catalog Server of 3rd Party Packages. The focus of the Catalog Server is to provide a central repository of Python add-ons, to track metadata about those packages, offer a community infrastructure for both the evaluation and approval of those packages, along with notification of new package arrivals, and programmatic client interfaces.

This talk will focus on a Zope based Catalog Server, going through its history, its features, and its future.
