Zope 3, Technology, Development Process, and Road Map
James Fulton, Zope Corporation

Track: Python
Date: Wednesday, July 24
Time: 11:30am - 12:15pm
Location: Marina IV

The Zope 3 project provides a component-based architecture to ease Zope software development and software reuse, to integrate the Zope Content-Management Framework, and to take advantage of new Python features. The project dramatically increases the role of the community in development as most of the development is taking place outside of the Zope Corporation. Zope 3 is leveraging extreme-programming ideas to speed the development process and increase the quality of the resulting code.

The talk will provide an overview of key ideas, with emphasis on the Zope component architecture. The development process will be presented along with current projects and the Zope 3 road map.
