BOF

The Semantic Web and DAML+OIL

Track: BOF
Date: Tuesday, July 23
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Harbor Island II

Moderated by: Christopher Maloney

Using XML as a starting point, the Semantic web is currently bringing together experts and schema designers from a wide variety of fields, developing a coherent universal language for describing data.

DAML provides a language for describing relationships not only between objects, but between other classes and relationships. This enables much more sophisticated data mining applications.
