Open Source Legal Questions

Track: BOF
Date: Tuesday, July 23
Time: 6:00pm - 7:00pm
Location: Marina III

Moderated by: Deirdre Mulligan, Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic
Jennifer Urban, Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic

Director Deirdre Mulligan and Fellow Jennifer Urban from the Samuelson Law, Technology and Public Policy Clinic at UC-Berkeley's law school will introduce the Clinic to folks and solicit feedback on what kinds of open source legal issues are most on developers' minds. The Samuelson Clinic is setting up a program intended to provide legal support to the open source community, and we would really like to get some ideas about what is needed from the folks who are directly involved.

Where could you use some pro bono help? Do you have questions about choosing licenses? Are you worried about software patents? Perhaps you're wondering about enforcing an open source license. Or maybe you have a problem that we just haven't seen. Please share your thoughts and concerns with us.
